I realize that it’s been a while since my last post… Things have just been a bit crazy this year. Mainly because I’ve recently moved away from the east coast and back to the midwest! It was a very sudden move but I’m so happy with my decision to make the trek. I’m now living in Chicago and I am truly loving it here. The city is amazing!
The main perk of living here (besides all of the fun things to do) is that I am so close to my family, which is something I definitely missed while out east. My sister and I decided to do an impromptu photo shoot on a day that we didn’t really have a lot going on, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you. I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of her and her family on here now that we live so close. Enjoy!
I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about something amazing going on tomorrow… Here is a little background information…
My co-worker Tara (my amazing co-worker, I should say!) and her husband had a baby boy named Luke Anthony Joseph Maida in June, 2000. Sadly, Luke had SMA, which is Spinal Muscular Astrophy and he passed away at the tiny age of 6 months. Tara and her family wanted to do everything they could to help with SMA research, so they decided to start a festival in his honor. The festival happens every fall, and every year the festival grows. More and more people donate, volunteer and attend. It’s becoming a huge event that supports an amazing cause.
I am so excited because tomorrow I’m heading to Pen Argyle, PA to snap some pics at the event! This will be my first time attending, and I can’t wait to see what it’s all about. If any of you are in the area and would like to stop by, please check out their facebook page which has all of the information.
When my cousins came to visit last month, they decided that they wanted to take sister pictures on top of Kaitlin’s senior pictures. (You can see her senior pictures in my previous post) They were a lot of fun to photograph and as you can tell, truly are BFF’s! Capturing their friendship and sisterly love made for a great shoot. Enjoy!
